Beyonce Adds An Edible Twist to Her Business Empire With Home-Delivered Vegan Meals

Beyonce releases short filmIf you’re thinking about going vegan and you’d like vegan meals hand-delivered to your door by none other than Beyonce Knowles, you’re in luck.

The Queen Bey’s latest business venture is a partnership with nutrition expert Marco Borges to deliver vegan meals to the home as part of their vegan “22 Days Nutrition” challenge, which Beyonce did herself for 22 days in December 2013.

Of course, Beyonce won’t be delivering the meals herself. But the Beygency can delight in the fact that these are meals that she has eaten herself and clearly given a hearty endorsement.

Beyonce topped the Forbes list year of the wealthiest celebrities, earning an estimated $115 million between June 2013 and June 2014. As Forbes points out, Beyonce has built a business empire far beyond her bestselling records.

“She earns millions endorsing companies like H&M and Pepsi,” Forbes wrote. “She has a line of fragrances with names like Heat, Rise and Pulse, and then there’s her clothing company House of Dereon, which features jeans, shoes and accessories.”

Forbes called Beyonce and Jay-Z the “most powerful celebrity couple in the world.” 

This is what they say about the 22-day vegan challenge on their website:

“With the 22 Days Vegan Challenge Kit, we make it easy for you to experience the benefits of a plant-based diet. The kit is packed with our delicious 100% Organic, vegan bars, Plant Protein Powder and over 50 plant-based recipes, so you’ll look and feel better in just 22 Days!”

Why 22 days? Because they believe that, as psychologists have sad, it takes 21 days to “make or break a habit.” So reaching 22 days is supposed to be a life-changing “breakthrough” to healthy eating.

Borges will release a book in April called “The 22 Day Revolution” with a foreword from Beyoncé.

It’s “a great program to get people motivated to make better nutritional choices. I am excited to partner with him,” Beyonce said in a statement.

The plan includes options ranging from one to three meals a day. The price starts at five meals for five days at $78.40 and goes up to 66 meals (22 days) at $609.84, excluding the $19.95 shipping fee.

Meals include such selections as “fajita kidney beans” and “almond berry breakfast loaf.”
