Grace Jones spotted in London sporting towering heels
Grace Jones was spotted in London today sporting towering heels and looking extremely happy as she was snapped by the paparazzi. No stranger to using fashion to garner attention, Jones most recently made headlines by hula hooping to her hit song “Slave to the Rhythm” during a performance held for the queen of England’s Diamond Jubilee celebration in early June.
Jones chose a look only Wonder Woman could pull off (in addition to herself) to complement the exploit, working a black and red one-piece number that echoed the costume of the iconic superheroine. But today, the music legend simply walked with a friend displaying the intensely long legs that are still as toned as ever.
Speaking of toning, Jone’s hula hooping has inspired an interest in the activity as a possible means to fitness. Jones, 64, looks stunning no matter what she wears — even if it’s a patchwork-patterned hoodie. Is hula hooping one of her health secrets?
“You think of hula hooping as just a recreational thing that kids do. But our studies showed it pushed heart rates up to 150, which is pretty high,” exercise physiologist John Porcari told the UK Mirror regarding hula hooping for a hot body. “Findings proved that hooping delivers a total body work-out that can improve flexibility and balance while strengthening the back, abdominal, arm and leg muscles.”
Well all right! By the looks of these pictures, Ms. Jones must be doing something right.
