‘He’s a bitter Hollywood wannabe’: Sean Penn slams former business partner Steve Bannon

In 1991, Sean Penn made his directorial debut on “The Indian Runner,” and at the time, he worked with Steve Bannon, who executive produced the project.

Back then, “The Indian Runner” was Bannon’s first executive producer credit before he went on to invest in “Seinfeld” and then political documentaries. Now that Bannon is nationally recognized name in the political stage, and considering his recent ouster from the National Security Council, Penn’s time with the White House chief strategist even back then is telling.

“Bannon was then, as he is now, simply another bitter Hollywood wannabe who went rogue by way of toxic narcissistic iconoclasm. But, deep in his heart, he’s just a conniving hateful bloated punk who despises mankind. And then there are also the bad things about him,” Penn told Death and Taxes.

That seems to be the name of the game when it comes to dealing with Bannon, as recent reports from the White House indicate that the tension is escalating, with Axios sources reporting that there is a possibility that Bannon and Trump may split from each other, saying, “The tension, the exhaustion, the raw nerves have gotten much harder to disguise.”
