J. Cole’s Childhood Home Is Vandalized with Question About His Charity

Social media users learned that Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist J.Cole’s Forrest Hills Drive home was spray painted over the weekend.

A photo of the rapper’s tagged house circulated all over Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the words, ” J. Cole…Do you even care about the ville” scribbled in Black spray paint.

Cole is a Fayetteville native who repurchased the residence after his mother lost it to foreclosure. The goal for the property was to let families move in there for almost “rent free” and “by the time they leave, they’ll be in a much better position than they were when they came” the “Power Trip” artist said in a 2015 podcast according to WRAL. It’s unclear where the organization currently stands.

The graffiti was painted over by Monday morning and the home is back to normal. J’Cole’s team has yet to release a statement regarding the vandalism.

The conscious rapper’s fans took to social media to express their anger about the illicit incident.

Many fans believe the defacing occurred because of Cole’s latest gold album KOD which may have offended certain individuals in addition to whether the rapper is doing enough for his beloved city. Nevertheless, the “Neighbors” artist will host the first-annual “Dreamville” festival in North Carolina on Sept. 15.
