What year were you founded?
What inspired you to launch your business?
After years of experience in human capital strategy and leadership development, I recognized my deeper desire to help individuals and organizations live and work on purpose. As a former recruiter, I often spoke with professionals who felt “lost” and without a sense of purpose. I was determined to help people reconnect to their “WHY” and to find meaningful ways to positively impact the world. At The OnPurpose Movement, we offer individual and group coaching, organizational training and development, and empowering public speaking engagements.
What makes your brand/product unique?
There are a number of professional development firms out there, but I’m proud of the unique work my firm does to help individuals and businesses connect to their purpose. Our trademarked OnPurpose Framework helps our clients reach breakthrough insights that lead to transformational change. Our commitment to helping individuals live more purposefully led to our creation of the first-ever International Day of Purpose, which, in 2016, reached over 10 million people.
Why should everyone #buyblack or #supportblack this holiday season?
The black consumer is incredibly powerful. As Nielsen’s latest consumer report notes, “African-Americans continue to represent a significant percentage of growth in the U.S. population. Having grown 21% between 2004 and 2014, the U.S. Black population is currently at 14% of the total U.S. population.” If we channeled our buying power back into our community, we could create longer lines of wealth and sustainable communities and ensure intergenerational wealth that transitions more families out of poverty into the middle class and middle class families into a higher tax bracket. Our dollars can fuel the success of many entrepreneurs offering purpose-oriented organizations.
How do you pay it forward within your community?
Through The OnPurpose Movement, I am committed to leading and offering campaigns that help others live not by accident but, instead, OnPurpose. Our 2016-2017 campaigns are helping people to be #FitOnPurpose, to #WorkOnPurpose and to #LoveOnPurpose!
What is your business mantra?
Live on purpose.
