Kelly Rowland Reminds Interviewer that She is Not Beyoncé: ‘Get Back to What I’m Here to Talk About’
In an interview with Chicago’s WGN Tuesday, musician and entertainer Kelly Rowland wanted the interviewer to focus on the topic at hand—her new docu-series—not Beyoncé’s new album Lemonade.
While promoting her new BET docu-series, Chasing Destiny, Kelly Rowland turns a normal interview with WGN‘s Dean Richards into an awkward situation after he asks if she has any new music. Richards kept pushing the question until Rowland said enough was enough. She told the interviewer that she would let everyone know when she has new music.
Then Richards moves on.
“All the talk this week has been about Beyoncé’s new album. Have you heard it yet? Have you had an opportunity to get some thoughts on the whole thing, ” asked Richards.
Rowland responded with praise for the album but she really wanted to get back on track.
“… But getting back to what I’m here to talk about, Claritin. I’m very excited to be teaming up with Claritin and the Boys & Girls Club of America,” Rowland told Richards.
