Lil Wayne’s camp tried to block ‘Nightline’ interview after BLM rant

After his Black Lives Matter rant, Lil Wayne reportedly tried to pull the plug on his Nightline interview and keep it from ever hitting the public.

According to TMZ, Lil Wayne’s camp repeatedly emailed ABC telling them to stop the interview from airing, claiming that the interviewer, Linsey Davis, had crossed the line by asking a question about his daughter that was not pre-approved.

Lil Wayne has claimed that the question threw him off his game and sent him over the edge into the BLM rant.

However, ABC has responded by saying that no questions were pre-approved and that “when it came to the questions and the topics of the interview nothing was off limits.”

Lil Wayne has also reportedly fired his publicists over the whole debacle.
