Man tries to get out of arrest with Monopoly ‘Get out of jail free’ card

A Minnesota man tried to get out of an arrest by presenting a “get out of jail free” Monopoly card to the arresting officer.

When Deputy Mike Vai pulled over a car registered to someone with an outstanding warrant, he also realized that the passenger was wanted on an outstanding warrant, according to KARE. Vai searched the 35-year-old man, who then showed Vai the Monopoly card in an attempt to get out of trouble.

The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office posted an image of the “get out of jail free” card on social media, writing, “We appreciate the humor! Deputy Vai arrested a gentleman this weekend on an outstanding warrant. He carried this Monopoly card just in case. “‘A’ for effort!”
