Minister Farrakhan Shares Moments From Private Meeting with President Obama
Minister Louis Farrakhan tells parishioners that his relationship with President Barack Obama was ruined after Hillary Clinton instructed the then senator to distance himself from the Nation of Islam back in 2008.
This is the first time Farrakhan unveiled details about the alleged private meeting he had at his Chicago home with Obama. He says that he voted and supported Obama, but things changed.
“This man is probably one of the most beautiful human beings on the inside but there is a little tinge in that which Satan can come in … I have a picture of myself and Barack together. You never saw it … I would never put it out to give his enemies what they were looking for to hurt him,” says Farrakhan in his Oct. 30 address.
Furthermore, he reveals that his meeting was focused entirely on preserving Obama’s public image to get him elected.
“But he told me straight up: ‘… the Black vote in Chicago made me win Chicago. But it was the down state vote that made me a U.S. senator. And I will never do anything that will cause me to lose the down state vote.’ And I said to him, ‘My brother, your reality is not mine. And we need you where you are, so I will never ask you to do anything that will cause you to lose the downstate vote’—and I never have. He was the bigger picture.”
Farrakhan adds that Obama is the most popular —most beloved—Black person in America. “I’m not trying to compete with that … I know that was his time. ” However, he proclaims that it is his time now.
