After Fabolous was arrested and charged earlier this week for allegedly abusing his on-and-off girlfriend Emily B, details have emerged about a prior incident between the two.

On Wednesday, March 28, police arrived at the pair’s Englewood, NJ home after Fabolous allegedly hit the mother of his two children, whose real name is Emily Bustamante, in the face, TMZ reported. He turned himself in to authorities with his lawyer in tow and while he didn’t get any jail time, he was given a court date and charged with felonies of aggravated assault and making a terroristic threat.

However, NorthJersey.com reported that in addition to Fab, whose real name is John Jackson, punching Bustamante seven times, the incident isn’t an isolated one. Weeks earlier on March 7, the rapper reportedly “became enraged” during a Los Angeles business trip upon learning Bustamante was also in L.A.

An affidavit of probable cause obtained by the news outlet stated the rapper texted his girlfriend on a flight back home that he wanted to hit her in the head with baseball bat and that he would kill her but he “did not want to go out like that.” The messages left Bustamante frightened and later, Fabolous allegedly punched her in the face multiple times “causing severe damage to her two front teeth,” which documents said she wound up losing.

Bustamante then called her father to “remove two handguns from the residence due to her fear that they may be used against her” and when Fabolous arrived, he confronted Emily B, her father and brother and allegedly went looking for the weapons.

Documents said, “When he could not locate the guns, the defendant left the house, but not before informing the victim, her father and her brother that he had a bullet for them.”

In a statement issued to Billboard magazine, Fab’s attorney Alberto Ebanks said, “I’ve known Fab close to 20 years and believe he is incapable of engaging in the alleged conduct.”
