Oprah: 'I thought Rihanna was gonna be a bada**'

Earlier this week, Oprah tweeted out photos of Rihanna driving her around Barbados, as a tease for her upcoming interview with the “We Found Love” singer, airing on OWN August 19.

Oprah has now released a sneak peak video of the interview, in which she talks about being pleasantly surprised by Rihanna.

“I just recently came back from Barbados, with Rihanna. I went there with my own ideas about who she was, watching the videos and listening to her music, I thought she was gonna be kind of a bada**,” Winfrey said. “Nothing could have been farther from the truth. This is who she was for me and our cameras, and 100 percent herself. She was thoughtful, she was very emotional, she was vulnerable, she pushes the edge. I came away getting a great sense of who she was.”
