President-elect Trump complains about protesters on Twitter

After Donald Trump won the presidential election, thousands took to the streets to protest, and now, the president elect is taking to Twitter to complain about the protests.

“Just had a very open and successful presidential election,” Trump tweeted on Thursday. “Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!”

Earlier in the day, Trump sat down with the current president, Barack Obama, to begin the transition of power. He said that he has “great respect” for Obama and complimented him on the “really great things” he has achieved. Then, afterwards, he thanked Obama for a “fantastic day” that he described as having “great chemistry.”

–‘Not My President’: Thousands more hit city streets to protest Trump election–

He even had nice things to say about Michelle Obama, saying: “Melania liked Mrs. O a lot!”

But it seems that his days of being cordial and even semi-presidential are now over, and he is back to his tried and true campaign tactic of turning to Twitter when he disagrees with something.

“Here we go, again,” Republican strategist Ana Navarro said. “Trump tweeting against protestors & the media. Well, it was nice to see him be presidential for all of, what… 40 hours?”

“Not a good look for the POTUS-elect,” said David Axelrod. “Instead of reaching out, he reaches for his Twitter account. Again! Winners don’t whine. They heal.”
