Ray Lewis Runs Down his List of Contributions to the ‘Hood’ to Discredit Kaepernick’s ‘Cute’ Protest

On the Sept. 8 edition of FOX Sports One’s “Speak For Yourself,” former NFL player Ray Lewis commented on the controversy surrounding Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest.

In the one-on-one interview, Lewis says that he understands the San Francisco QB’s reason for protesting, but job creation is more important.

He insists that jobs and economic development will solve police brutality.

Furthermore, the former Baltimore Ravens player says he helped create nearly 450 jobs in Ferguson, Missouri after the Mike Brown protests.

“If you want to stop the craziness that is going on, give these kids jobs,” Lewis opines. “Give them something to do. Because talking and protesting is cute. You can get a lot of people behind you, but when you do that you better have a solution.”

At the end of the clip, Lewis urges Kaepernick and others who have joined the protest to invest in the ‘hoods.
