A Rutgers University professor is facing backlash this week after ripping into a group of white kids who he condemned for their privilege in a racially-charged Facebook rant.

James Livingston, who is white, became enraged after stopping into burger joint Harlem Shake for dinner Thursday night only to find the restaurant overrun with “little Caucasian a**holes who know their parents will approve of anything they do.”

“OK, officially, I now hate white people,” Livingston wrote in the now-deleted post. “I am a white people [sic], for God’s sake, but can we keep them — us — out of my neighborhood?

“Slide around the floor, you little s**thead, sing loudly, you moron,” he continued. “Do what you want, nobody here is gonna restrict your right to be white.”

Livingston concluded his diatribe by stating he officially “resigned from his race.”

The post was eventually flagged by Facebook and removed for “violating community standards on hate speech,” according to Livingston’s page.

“I’ve just been told by FB that my rant v, white people makes me dangerous, socially media speaking, even though I’m a white people, or person, or whatever …” the collegiate history professor wrote in a follow-up post.

On Friday, he tried to clarify his offensive rant, saying he didn’t want “little Caucasians” overrunning his life like they did at the restaurant the night before and wanted them to stay in the suburbs “where they and their parents can colonize every restaurant.”

Livingston said his posts have since made him a target, saying he’s received at least 30 emails from “crazies” calling him a racist and threatening to harm him.

“One guy even left me a phone message, which I took as a warm and personal approach to the matter,” he wrote on Sunday. “And the designations! ‘Racist F–kstain’ is my fave so far. Let’s see if this goes through.”

It’s unclear if Rutgers will take any disciplinary action against the professor.

** UPDATE **

Rutgers University released the following statement in response to Livingston’s post:

“There is no place for racial intolerance at Rutgers. This matter has been referred to the appropriate leaders at the Rutgers-New Brunswick campus, where Dr. Livingston teaches,  to determine whether his comments violate university policies prohibiting discrimination and harassment.”
