Senator Who Reportedly Called Bank Teller a ‘House N*****’ Issued Citation For Disorderly Conduct

Residents of Wisconsin were shocked to learn that Senator Lena Taylor may likely be cited for disorderly conduct due to a racial altercation with a Black bank teller.

On Friday afternoon in a Milwaukee Wells Fargo Bank, Senator Taylor “brought a check there that was given to her by a tenant and it was for a lot of delinquent rent. And Lena had gone there just to see if the check was still good” according to her attorney Vince Bobot.

However, a disagreement took place about whether or not there was enough money in the account. Taylor, who is also a Black woman, allegedly called a Black teller a “house n****r” after not cashing a check for $831.00 because of insufficient funds, News/Talk 1130 WISN reported.

Milwaukee Police officer reportedly overheard the State Senator scolding the teller and issued her a municipal citation for disorderly conduct after viewing Wells Fargo’s security camera footage. The citation carries a maximum of $500 but is not a criminal violation.

Milwaukee Police Department has yet to make any statements but the bank’s spokesperson sent TMJ4 a statement regarding the incident.

“For privacy and confidentiality reasons, we do not discuss information about team members or customers. We are cooperating with Milwaukee law enforcement on their investigation,” they stated.

“I mean she did intimate to me that they’re trying to accuse her of a racial slur. But I don’t want to get into that right now. You know, it’s highly unusual for it to go to the press like this,” Bobot told CBS 58 News after confirming that he and Taylor requested a meeting with the Milwaukee City Attorney. The senator has yet to deny the allegation.
