Months after his ex-wife appealed and won the right to have him pay back spousal support, Terrence Howard is being taken to court to pay Michelle Ghent almost $1 million.

Documents obtained by TMZ Monday reveal Ghent has asked the court to require her former husband to pay $909,418 in back support since she claims Howard has been procrastinating on forking up the money since the October ruling.

Additionally, Ghent wants the “Empire” actor to cover the $820,000 she spent on legal fees and she wants a judge to require Howard to pay up. She claims he’s basically hiding his income from the hit Fox series, which she alleges equals out to $9.7 million over the past 5 years.

At a hearing set for September, a judge will decide how much the actor/singer has to pay.

In October, a judge overturned a prior ruling siding with Howard’s claim that he was forced to sign their marital settlement under duress. He alleged Ghent threatened to leak nude photos and videos of him if he didn’t sign. However, the court said the star more than likely had “buyer’s remorse” from not taking any other options instead of signing the settlement. It also said if Howard felt as if he was being blackmailed, he could have gone to the authorities.

The ex-couple married in 2010 and stayed wed for three years, although they filed for divorce after year one.
