The championship spirit of ‘Queen of Katwe’ Starring Lupita Nyong’o, the inspirational film is in theaters now
The messaging of the film is uplifting and celebratory of females achieving more than is expected from them …Phiona [Mutesi, the lead character] is not without challenge, but she works through those challenges and she finds ways. And the very game of chess is about that — scoping the horizons and figuring out what’s going to come in your way, and how to get to where you need to get to and trying to lose as little as possible as you get there. But you will have to lose — and I love that metaphor. There are times where you do have to compromise, you do have to suffer a little, but you can still get to where you want to get to. — Lupita Nyong’o
