Rapper Kanye West’s latest Trump supporting comments have people a little wary including his good friend “Got Your Back” artist T.I.

Over the past few days friends, John Legend and Chance the Rapper have either come to West’s defense or reached out to the “All Falls Down” musician regarding his “love” and “MAGA” tweets defending President Trump. Yeezy also slammed former president Barack Obama and posted, “Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed.”

Well, hip-hop figure T.I. took to his Instagram Story on Friday (Apr.27) morning and said he spent the whole day on Thursday hanging out with West. He then hinted that the two rappers discussed the Yeezy designers Twitter rants and his lineup with Trump, but didn’t detail too many specifics.

T.I. posted, “Yesterday Spent the day wit Kanye… Long term work in progress, no doubt. Still Optimistic… Something From our discussion gon STICK… I refuse to just give up on him. The Old Ye Too Important!!!”

Little did their fans know, the two rappers teamed up for a new track titled, “Ye Vs. the People.” They debuted the new single on Power 106 FM in Los Angeles which plays out a full debate between the two artists on police brutality, Black politics, ‘the sunken place, Trump, and Obama.

West started the track off with the verse, “I know Obama was Heaven-sent/But ever since Trump won, it proved that I could be president…  Make America Great Again had a negative reception/I took it, wore it, rocked it, gave it a new direction. Added empathy, care and love and affection, and y’all simply questionin’ my methods,” West raps in the song.

T.I. responded back to West in the song and said, “You represent dudes who seem cruel and cold-hearted. This shit is stubborn, selfish, bullheaded, even for you,” responds T.I. in his own verse.

“You wore a dusty-ass hat to represent the same views. As white supremacy, man, we expect better from you. All them times you sounded crazy, we defended you, homie, not just to be let down when we depend on you, homie,” he continues.

The two artists have a full throttle conversation the entire track. Although they both clearly have different perspectives and opinions regarding recent political matters, West and T.I. seem to agree to disagree.
