Wendy Williams on Hot 103 employer: 'He loved that my skin was black, but my delivery was white'

Wendy Williams recently appeared on mediabistroTV’s My First Big Break about her first important career moves.  She discusses working for $3.25 an hour on the island of St. Croix, a short career at Washington D.C.’s WOL-AM, and finally making it to her dream city, New York.

Williams also shares what Joel Salkowitz, who hired her, loved about her after her first night working in NYC for Hot 103.5(now Hot 97.1).  “You know what he loved about me ?  He loved that my skin was black, but my delivery was white.”
