Game. Blouses.

In what might have been its easiest game of the entire Olympics, the U.S. men’s basketball team smacked Serbia around Sunday to the tune of 96-66. Kevin Durant dropped 30 points and was the best player on the court every time he was on it, firing away.

The numbers show that this team is inarguably a lesser version of the ones that preceded it, but all the chatter and worry about this squad not being talented enough was probably overstated.

Maybe the team’s roster really was poorly constructed in the overall — but when your “down-year team” is clobbering foes by a combined 182 points, that’s not too bad, either. And there’s this obvious caveat: Had this team gotten more time to play together, they very well could have come closer to the 2008 and 2012 teams’ dominance.

Lastly, an important salute must go out to Carmelo Anthony, after his emotional and important postgame speech following his gold medal win.

“Despite everything that’s going on in our country, we’ve got to be united,” Anthony also said. “I stepped up to the challenge. This is what it’s about: representing our country on the biggest stage that you can be on. America, we’ll be great again. I believe that. We’ve got a lot of work to do, but it’s one step at a time. I’m glad we represented in the fashion that we did.”

Musical artist Frank Ocean dropped two albums in one weekend. Blessings for two reasons: We, Frank Ocean fans, no longer have to deal with the slander and we have new music. Love and peace to all.
