Are You Walking Your Talk as a Coach?

As we prepare for what will be an EPIC Launch Your Business LIVE 3-Day Boot Camp in Atlanta, the word “possibility” has been heavy on my mind.

Because what my team and I have been hearing a lot lately is:

I wish I could come to the event, but I can’t take off from work.

I know I should be there, but I can’t travel to Atlanta.

This is exactly what I need right now, but I can’t afford it.

It got me thinking about something one of my mentors, Valorie Burton, told us at her Coaching Training Institute many years ago.

I’m paraphrasing, but essentially what she said was that the most important thing you can do as a coach is to walk your talk.

Meaning, if you want to help other people improve their lives, careers, businesses, health or relationships, then you need to be moving forward in that area as well.

You don’t have to be perfect, but you DO need to be in integrity with the advice you give to your clients, especially when it comes to taking action on their big goals.

Since then, what I’ve learned as a coach and mentor is that everything – and I mean EVERYTHING – changes when you decide to invest in yourself.

When you finally stop “thinking about it” and do what you need to do, your life starts to shift.

Miracles begin to happen.

Doors start to open.

Money begins to flow.

In fact, there’s a direct correlation between how much money you’re willing to invest in your business and how much money your clients are willing to invest in YOU.

Here’s what I mean…

If you are holding the belief that coaching, training and live events are all “too expensive,” then you are likely to attract clients who are not willing to pay for YOUR coaching, training and live events.

You are likely to attract the kind of clients who really need your help but always end up telling you:

“I wish I could work with you, but I can’t.”

Truly, the best way to attract financial abundance into your life is to “walk your talk” and invest in yourself in the same way that you want your clients and customers to invest in themselves!

Are you walking your talk as a coach?

If not, now is the time to make a decision about the kind of life you REALLY want to live and then take the action steps necessary to make it happen.

Your situation changes when your perspective changes.

Instead of saying, “I can’t do this” – shift to asking, “How can I make this possible?”
